Flat Pictures

Entryway/Front Room

Front door, from the inside.

Front room/entryway, looking at the front door. The two
boxes on the wall are the gas and electricity meters.

The front room, view from the front door. The two doors
directly in front are the two front bedrooms. The door on
the left  wall is to my bedroom, and the door on the right
wall is to the bathroom.

There's a short hall connecting the entrance to
the kitchen. There are hooks for winter clothes.
The door on the right is to a walk in closet for
storage.

The Kitchen

Fridge and small table. You can see some of our groceries
on the table, including corn flakes, which are some
German brand.
Oven/stove. We don't have a microwave.
The prior occupants left a collection of Asian sauces.

Kitchen sink. That's a water heater above it.

One of the two front facing bedrooms.

Big window facing the street.

We all have living room type furniture. We'll probably
move it into the front room sometime this week.

My Room!

Bed, big window facing the
courtyard, and drying rack.

Desk and reading chair.
I have two wardrobes (only 1 is in the picture) and shelves.

Another set of shelves. Haven't
completely unpacked either :)

The flat is heated by these gas heaters, which seems to be
typical for the flats of this age. You turn the bottom nob
to control the temperature, and when it's on, you can
actually see the little blue flame. Slightly terrifying.

Bathroom
There are two washing machines. The one in this picture doesn't work.
This washing machine does work!

Our very European styled shower :)

Most of our faucets have their own hot water heaters.
This is the heater for the shower.

And our separate little toilet room.

Guest Room

We have a small extra room with a bed for guests.

  1. That guest bed doesn't look comfortable! I think I'll try a hotel when I visit.
